I’m a humble person, but this is the page where I’m supposed to brag so here it goes: I graduated with honors and distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in journalism and political science and then spent 12 years working for newspapers, including nine years at The Post-Crescent in Appleton, where I held multiple roles including business editor. I have won several awards for my reporting work. In 2006, I launched my own freelance writing business and haven’t looked back. I’ve written for a variety of regional and state business and trade publications, including the Wisconsin Law Journal, the Milwaukee Business Journal, Biz Times Media, The Daily Reporter, St. Norbert College Magazine, Wisconsin Business Magazine, Insight on Business, and several trade specialty magazines for Cole Publishing. I’ve also written for several online sites, including Wispolitics.com, Brazen Careerist, The Penny Hoarder and WisBusiness.com. I also edit Midwest Agriculture Almanac, a quarterly publication focused on the ag industry in the Upper Midwest.
If that wasn’t enough to keep me busy, I also provide content marketing writing, public relations and social media services to businesses and organizations. Perhaps now you see where the name 1BizzyWriter comes from!
When not writing, I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering for my kids’ school and sports teams and riding my bike through the Wisconsin countryside.
